As early as 1999, inductive, contactless energy transmission was successfully implemented with the BTSi system. These vehicles are driven and controlled by induction circuits integrated into the floor, therefore offering a wide range of possibilities. Addressing current safety requirements these vehicles add a new dimension to floor conveyance enabling even outdoor or underwater use. BTSi vehicles use a high frequency inductive circuit powered by an external supply to offer the highest operational availability by eliminating the need for battery charging and replacement.
