AFT Schopfheim got the order to supply a total of 8 pieces bus lift system.

The bus bodies are raised to a height of 2.5m. At a cycle time of about 45 minutes preparation work, partly underneath the bus, is carried out in order to prepare the body for the paint. Special challenges in this order is the lifting equipment. The realization of special lifting equipment under extremely tight conditions for a personal safe system design for overhead work.

Body storage for Nedcar (Netherlands)

AFT Schopfheim will provide a high-bay body storage with offshore material handling equipment.

The storage is provided as a buffer for the car bodies of the BMW Mini and located between the body- and the paint shop. For transportation and storage of the bodies the typical BMW transport trusses will be used. The high-bay storage will have 3-rack aisles and about 450 storage spaces. The used stacker cranes are an AFT own development. A special feature will be that the car bodies are transported without any transport aids (skid or similar) on the chain conveyors.

New order for AFT Schopfheim from DEUTZ AG, Cologne

As a general contractor AFT Schopfheim will provide the assembly line for the new generation of block engines at Deutz in Cologne.

Featuring the modern AFT technology, two flow cycle assembly lines for block engines will be installed. The project includes an inverted electric monorail system with 14 workstations and a skilled system with 36 workstations. At the inverted EMS system the worker is required to follow the production line by walking. The skilled system is designed as man rider technologie. With its 1.7m x2.5m large platforms, it allows the worker to stay on the platform during installation. The cycle time of the skilled system is synchronized to the assembly cycles. Both lines featuring lift and rotary units (SRU) which guarantee, that each workstation gets an optimal ergonomic position for maximal accessibility to the block engine.

AFT Bautzen received a new order from Audi

Audi AG placed a new order at AFT Förderanlagen Bautzen for the Audi plant in Ingolstadt.

AFT Bautzen will supply the material handling system for the final assembly line for the new Audi A3, which will be launched to the market next year. The existing assembly line for the Audi A3 will be renewed with innovative technology from AFT Bautzen. The new order covers the development and delivery of 66 large assembly platforms with integrated lifting technology. The new platforms are lifting the vehicles at every working station to the correct ergonomic height of each worker. Further on the existing propulsion technology of the assembly line will be replaced by a new modern economic propulsion principle. Four new vertical conveyers with divided stroke slides are part of the order as well as the installation in the end and beginning of the assembly line.

AFT Bautzen is pleased to have a major contract from Audi

The AFT Bautzen will equip the plant in Ingolstadt with new technology. Bautzen operate also for DAF and VW.

Major order from Volkswagen

Due to the many re- and new construction for the new Golf model, AFT was awarded for the major contract for the bodyshop at the Volkswagen Sachsen GmbH, Mosel plant.

On the basis of the wide selection of high quality products of the AFT-Group, AFT will supply and install several electrical monorail-, conveyor- and skid systems. The production for the new Golf will start end 2012 in this plant.
